Meld was born from a question that stayed with us, why is Indian craftsmanship celebrated across the world, yet often overlooked in its own home?
Having spent years working with sustainable brands and designers globally, we witnessed firsthand the deep admiration for our textiles, the meticulous artistry of our artisans, and the stories woven into every stitch. But while our crafts found appreciation abroad, back home, they were often sidelined in favour of fast fashion. That’s when the idea took root, why not bring that same reverence and innovation to India.
We wanted to create something different. Meld is about blending, melding the richness of our heritage with a fresh, thoughtful approach. It’s about reintroducing age-old crafts in a way that feels relevant today while staying true to the hands that make them. Every fabric we use carries history, every technique has been passed down through generations, and every design is crafted to last with no mill-made fabrics and a commitment to slow, intentional creation, we ensure that each piece is more than just clothing it’s a connection to something bigger.
