Each piece is handcrafted by skilled artisans using traditional techniques like Ajrakh, Jamdani, Kantha, and intricate embroidery. These time-intensive processes ensure authenticity and the highest quality, making each product a unique work of art.

2. Why do you use non-mill-made fabrics like Kala Cotton?
We use handloom and organic fabrics like Kala Cotton to promote sustainability, preserve traditional weaving methods, and provide livelihoods to artisans. These fabrics are eco-friendly and carry a rich heritage.

3. What is special about Kala Cotton?
Kala Cotton is a rain-fed crop requiring no pesticides or irrigation. It is highly sustainable and provides a durable, textured base perfect for traditional crafts and handloom weaving.

4. How do your products support artisans?
We collaborate directly with artisans, ensuring fair wages and promoting traditional craftsmanship. Every purchase contributes to sustaining their livelihoods and keeping heritage techniques alive.

• Avoid soaking or scrubbing to preserve the weave and natural dyes.
• Dry in shade to prevent fading.

8. What is the best way to care for intricate embroidery like Kantha or Gujarati work?

• Handwash gently or dry clean for the best results.
• Avoid wringing or twisting the fabric.
• Use low heat when ironing, with a protective layer like a muslin cloth.

9. Can I machine wash these products?
Machine washing is not recommended for handlooms or embroidered fabrics. Handwashing or dry cleaning is ideal to maintain their longevity.

10. Why should I avoid bleach or harsh detergents?
Bleach and strong detergents can damage the delicate weave and strip natural dyes, leading to fading and weakening of the fabric.

Order and Shipping

11. Are duties and taxes included in the pricing for international orders?
No, import duties and taxes are additional and depend on the destination country’s regulations. These charges are payable to the shipping carrier upon delivery.

12. What happens if my product is delayed in delivery?
While we aim to deliver within 5-7 business days, unforeseen delays such as customs clearance can occur. We will keep you updated and ensure timely delivery.

Refund and Exchange Policy

13. What are the terms of Return Policy?
We strive for customer satisfaction and will do our best to ensure you are pleased with your order. As most of our products are 100% hand-stitched and handcrafted, slight variations in color may occur. If you receive your order and are dissatisfied due to a defect or damage, we are happy to offer a full refund or re-fulfilment of your order. Please return the item(s) within 48 hours of receiving the product. Please ensure the following:

• You are available for pick-up.
• The returned product includes its original tag, invoice, and packaging.
• The returned product is in an unused, unworn, and unwashed condition.

Products that do not meet these requirements will not be accepted. We also appreciate your feedback! Please fill out our feedback form with your valuable suggestions.

14. What are the terms of Exchange?
We only exchange items due to sizing issues. If you need to exchange an item for the same product in a different size, please email us at hello@meldstudio.in within 7 days of receiving the product. The item must be in its original packaging with the tag.
All exchange packages must be shipped at your expense to the following address:

15. How do I Revise/Cancel my order?
After placing an order on our online store, you can request a cancellation and refund within 24 hours. Please note that a 5% cancellation/handling fee (of the order value) will be charged for account/card refunds.

16. What is the Return policy for Sales Items(If Applicable)?
All sales are final. There is no return or exchange on sale items.
